The information arts are my passion. Thus far, my research has been focused on the maintaining and transformation of arts libraries and visual resource collections. The digital age has transformed the function and collection of visual resources within the academic library community, and librarians must re-envision their roles to acclimate to a rapidly changing technological climate. I am excited at the potential that digitizing archival and image collections poses for accessibility and welcome the possibility to be a part of changing technologies.

In December I graduated from the School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Alabama, where I focused in collection development, records management, and cataloging. During my studies, I maintained a full-time position in the circulation and reserve department of the Amelia Gayle Gorgas Library. I also supplemented my educational experience with an internship at the Clarence B. Hanson, Jr. Library at the Birmingham Museum of Art.

Currently, I continue to work at Gorgas as a Library Assistant I and am beginning what I hope to be a long and fruitful career in libraries and information science
